Cape of Spirits boasts more than 1.9 million views, with more than 15,000 likes per episode and 179,000 subscribers in just eight episodes!

Webtoon are thrilled to add Kristina N. and Elie to their growing pool of talented creators.

From Kristina: “This is something I never thought I would experience in my lifetime. I’m incredibly thankful for Webtoon for making this contest an opportunity that created an exciting shift in my life.

Cape of Spirits was not supposed to happen so soon, since I wanted to finish Fictional Skin first. But circumstances made it otherwise, and I think I wouldn’t have changed anything about it. Cape of Spirits was created from the necessity of creating a fake JRPG video game for my Fictional Skin characters to play. It wasn’t meant to be a legitimate story until recently, and I found myself combining every single self-indulgent action/fantasy trope I enjoyed in my childhood into one story.

However, I wouldn’t be able to come this far without the help of my amazing friend and writer, Elie. I can’t believe we actually got to work together on something that evolved from a spontaneous brainstorming session during a late-night boba run. We are both incredibly proud and excited to show what we have in store for the future of Cape of Spirits and we hope you can join in our journey!”

Elie’s reaction: “I am at a loss for words. I’m so extremely grateful to everyone who has been involved in this process; everyone who has helped to shape me as a creative. Through this, I’ve grown so much and am excited to learn so much more as it goes forward. What started out as sleep-deprived, boba-overdosed, goofy conversations between me and Kristina, Cape of Spirits has become something more than what we could have ever imagined. To be working with such a close friend, mentor, and role model to create something so amazing feels like a pipe dream. I still can’t believe that we came all this way. Thank you for supporting us and loving Cape of Spirits, we’ll see you again at launch. WE DID IT!”
