Set For Multi-Platform Launch On Halloween
Independently-produced audio experience starring Eric Christian Olsen, Troian Bellisario, Patrick J. Adams, Chris Pine, Reid Scott, and more to be released alongside original epic novel
Los Angeles, CA—September 21, 2018— “Mortal Enemy,” an original science fiction and dark fantasy tale, is set for a multi-platform launch at 12:00AM ET on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The novel, written and illustrated by Nicholas Ryan Howard, includes original artwork and will be available in paperback, hardcover, color collector’s edition, and ebook formats. The audio experience is a modern reimagining of radio drama storytelling, with performances from an all-star cast, an original orchestral score, and multidimensional sound. Both will be available for purchase on multiple platforms including Audible, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and BarnesAndNoble.com.
“Mortal Enemy,” the audio experience, is narrated by Reid Scott (“Veep,” “Ventom”) and Devin Kelley (“Frequency”). Eric Christian Olsen (“NCIS: Los Angeles”) and Troian Bellisario (“Pretty Little Liars”) lead the cast that also includes Patrick J. Adams (“Suits”), Keegan Allen (“Pretty Little Liars”), Brendan Hines (“The Tick”), Sarah Wright Olsen (“American Made”), Chris Pine (“Star Trek,” “Wonder Woman”), and many more.
“Mortal Enemy” tells the tale of Vant Hu’l, a warrior from a past era who carries a curse, bestowed upon him by the most frightening of all villains: Death himself. In his journey through the wasteland, and in navigating a world that’s become corrupted and vile, he develops an unlikely friendship with a clever and venturesome teenage girl, the expert survivalist Skii Tavee. They also join forces with two questionable companions: Kram Grammie, the sneaky con man who is as crafty as he is klepto, and an off-kilter eccentric known as The World’s Worst Magician. Together, they set out to dispatch their foes, rescue innocents caught in the crossfire, and unite the forces of a world gone astray, all while reconciling with their own haunting pasts.
“It is with tremendous excitement that we present the thrilling, chilling, and unrelenting tale of ‘Mortal Enemy’ to the world. But fear not, through the avalanche of action and drama, one will find an adventure dripping with heart and humor. A story this full, told in both the printed word and audio formats, could only be made possible with a cast and crew of dedicated, passionate individuals who embody the spirit of independent creation and collaboration,” said Nicholas Ryan Howard, author and creator. “They, and I, have worked tirelessly to bring this unique vision to light. On behalf of the entire production team, we hope it makes you laugh, we hope it makes you scream, and we hope you find it, above all else, a hell of a lot of fun.”
The audio experience was directed and produced by Babar Peerzada, with Nicholas Ryan Howard serving as Executive Producer and David Crocco as Executive producer of Sound at A.G.E. Post in Burbank. The original orchestral score was composed by Deborah Lurie.
