JOSH DUHAMEL’S BUDDY GAMES AND BETHANY BROOKE ANDERSON’S BURNING KENTUCKY ARE BIG WINNERS AT THE 2ND ANNUAL MAMMOTH FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS GALA

2nd Annual Mammoth Film Festival

Zac Efron, Skyler Samuels, Mark Foster, Scott Haze, James Lafferty, and More Among the Night’s Honorees.

Mammoth Lakes, CA (February 13, 2019) — A record-breaking snowfall couldn’t keep the 2nd Annual Mammoth Film Festival Awards Gala from celebrating filmmakers who dare to push cinematic boundaries. While cars were completely covered in snow, MammothFF “Take 2” escorted celebrities and guests up in private gondolas to Canyon Lodge in Mammoth Lakes, California on Sunday, February 10th. Josh Duhamel was honored with an Achievement in Filmmaking Award for his directorial debut for Buddy Games. Duhamel also took home the prize for Best Genre Feature Film. The highly-anticipated Burning Kentucky from Bethany Brooke Anderson won the top honor of the night, Best Picture, which included a Find Your Grind financial prize from Luke “The Dingo” Trembath. Augie Duke (Amazon’s Red Oaks) won Best Actress in a Feature for her portrayal of Jolene in Burning Kentucky.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, picked up two awards at Mammoth Film Festival this year, one of which was the Grand Jury Awards for a Feature Film. Zac Efron, who portrays the notorious series killer Ted Bundy, picked up Best Actor in a Feature Film. Acquainted, starring Giacomo Gianniotti (Grey’s Anatomy), Adelaide Kane (Reign), and directed by Natty Zavitz, received the Achievement in Filmmaking for a Feature Award. Both Mark Foster (Foster the People) and Scott Haze (Venom) were honored with Mammoth Film Festival’s Contribution to the Arts Award. Everyone is Doing Great from James Lafferty (One Tree Hill) received Best TV Episodic while Skyler Samuels (Fox’s The Gifted) and Kate Drummond (Wynonna Earp) both earned the Mammoth Film Summit Award for Acting.
