More than Meets the Eye
This past weekend in the small town of Pasadena, the hordes of Cybertron invaded. For 5 days people came from all over the country to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved Transformers empire. This is an empire that spans cartoons, toys, movies, comics and more. Risking life and limb I dared enter Transformer central to see what was going on and to experience first hand this big transformers birthday party!
During the convention you could talk with the artists from the comics, meet the voice actors, see some up and coming Hasbro games and toys, and if you looked really hard you could find a vendor selling some toys. Okay so maybe most of the show room was vendors, but they had everything! You could get old, new, used, vintage, rare and even prototype toys. There really was something for everyone, a few things in my case.
The big star of the show for me though had to be the cosplayers. There were some pretty awesome Transformers walking around and they were fantastic. Friendly and always ready to take a picture, these guys gave cosplaying a great name!
