This week in Blizzard Esports, Pennsylvania State University Blue took home the title as national champions in the 2018 Hearthstone Collegiate Championship, four Asia-Pacific players have officially earned their tickets to the 2018 HCT Summer Championship, and WCS Season 2 Registration Opens!

Asia-Pacific Summer Playoff Results
The final of three weeks of grueling HCT Playoffs for the Summer season has wrapped up, and four Asia-Pacific players have officially earned their tickets to the 2018 HCT Summer Championship! Congratulations to Glory, BloodTrail, Jinsoo, and Tansoku who will travel to the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles June 28 – July 1 to battle against four counterparts from each of the other competing regions – China, Americas, Asia-Pacific – in an effort to earn their place in the World Championship in early 2019.

Congratulations to Penn State Blue for becoming the 2018 Hearthstone Collegiate Champions!
This past weekend the eight top teams from a pool of over 1,000 competing universities and colleges duked it out in a unique team format at the Hearthstone Collegiate Championship (HCC) grand finale. The tournament boasted $150,000 in scholarship prizing and tablets. In the end, Penn State Blue overtook UCLA to earn the grand prize: $10,000 USD per player in scholarships and the title of Collegiate National Champions. When asked what’s next, the team excitedly confirmed their intentions to seek a repeat victory next year.
StarCraft II – WCS Austin Contestants Announced, WCS Season 2 Registration Opens!

- WCS Challenger Season 2 gives players a chance to compete for a regional championship, as well as a share of the $10,000 prize pool.
